(The XINDA )safety scalpel supports and enhances safe passing procedures and protocols already practised within the Operating Room and Theatres.
Colour coded for ease of blade shape recognization. The scalpel contains a stronger temporary forward lock position to prevent uncontrolled retraction when contacting with bone during use, an additional notch to hold the blade more securely in the passing position and a rear permanent lock to be engaged prior to final disposal in a sharps container.

Standard Guarded and Protected Sterile Disposable Scalpels offer convenience in a number of user environments be it on the ward, in emergency or trauma units or even out in the field with the Paramedics. The Guarded Scalpel along with the minor "thumb" scalpels are also available in bulk, non sterile and form an integral part of many customised procedure trays, packs and kits.
The sterile disposable scalpels are packed in standard alum-foil wrap individually or in a transparent film wrap providing improved product visibility and developed to assist in safe passing techniques.
(XINDA )sterile disposable scalpels, packed in box of 10pcs, are fitted with the following blades: 9, 10, 10A, 11, 12, 12B, 12D, 13, 14, 15, 15C, 16,17, 18, 19, 20,21, 22, 22A, 23, 24, 25, 25A.
Minor non-sterile disposable surgical scalpels with a protective guard are fitted with the following blades 10, 10A, 11, 12, 15 or 15C and are an integral component of many procedure trays, kits and packs. Available in packets of bulk boxes of 40 or negotiated . (Please note the protective guard is NOT compatible with a standard metal handle and blade)
